On the 25th of August the green bus, donated by Van den Brug Drachten, arrived in Banjul and reached our Buzz Women Gambia team. All the way from The Netherlands the bus was taken on a long trip and is now ready to start its mission as a training bus for Buzz Women in The Gambia.
Our Gambian colleagues wrote: 'The donation has filled our hearts with utmost joy and optimism, because it will immensely help us effectively and efficiently discharge our duties and also contribute to the realisation of our goals.'
In The Gambia we have a five-year goal to reach 100 thousand women by 2021. With another training bus on the road, which will carry our trainers with their training equipment, many lives of rural Gambian women and their families will be greatly impacted for the better. We're grateful for such amazing partners that join our journey and contribute to our mission to empower 10 million women by 2030!
Additionally a 100 new chairs were taken along with the bus, which will be used for the training sessions.
