Katarina P. Kimaro, a 34-year-old entrepreneur and mother of two, is the secretary of Dukundane Group in Mamsera–Rombo. “Dukundane,” which means “Love each other” in Chagga, comprises 30 women, all striving for a better future.

Before joining the Buzz Women Inner Strength Training in August 2023, Katarina was running a small kiosk selling basic items like vegetable oil, sugar, and detergents, operating on limited capital and maintaining minimal records.
“The training by Buzz opened my eyes to the importance of proper record-keeping,” she shared. “I used to keep records, but not thoroughly. The Buzz booklet showed me where I was going wrong.”
Motivated by her leadership role, Katarina embraced the training seriously, determined to support her fellow members. Since then, she has expanded her product range, improved her record-keeping, and seen significant growth in both savings and capital.
“Thanks to Buzz Women Tanzania, I encourage other women to join this movement. It’s not just group empowerment—it transforms individuals too,” she concluded.
